Fall Has Arrived

As we look back on Summer 2021 and look forward to Fall 2021 you have to wonder what our world will be like.  COVID is still taking lives and forcing many of you to see and treat patients that you never thought was possible. To those still fighting on the front lines I salute you and know that my prayers are with you daily.  You make our profession proud by your commitment to those patients and their families.
During these past summer months, the Board has been looking to see what we can do to make the ISSRT even better and more robust than it already is.  I would like to share a few of those things with you.
We took our investments with Raymond James and made a change to Stiefel.  We felt our return on investments will be better.  Every 90 days we will receive a report on our investments and will monitor it very closely.  As we looked at our financial statement, we felt like we should look at decreasing the cost of membership. Beginning in January 2022 your membership cost will be decreased.  More to be shared with you soon.
National Radiology Technology Week plans are well on their way.  The committee has been very busy planning a great week for us.  Stay tuned for the announcement of an amazing speaker they have lined up for us.  Last but not least plans are beginning for the 2022 Annual Conference.  At this time, we are planning a face-to-face conference.  As we continue to monitor the COVID mandates of the state of Illinois that is subject to change.
We developed a strategic plan and have put it into place.  One of the things that is planned is a monthly continuing education lecture that will be worth one CE per month.  We are planning to begin this in January 2022.
As you can see things are progressing and we hope you can reap the benefits of what the ISSRT is sharing with you, our members.  Know that we are open for suggestions and appreciate your input.  Have a great Fall and be safe.
